Projection is the distance the awning extends from the wall.

• 8-10 Feet: Perfect for bistro sets and small balconies.
• 10-12 Feet: Standard for dining tables and larger decks.
  Note: Ensure you have at least 9 feet of vertical mounting height for a 12’ projection to avoid head-strike hazards.

Yes! The Solera® Lumina™ integrates fully with the AwnCommand app, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant. Every unit comes standard with both smartphone app control and a dedicated wireless remote.

Although DIY installation is an option for experienced homeowners, professional installation is recommended for all Solera® units.
Our certified experts ensure precise structural mounting, proper leveling, and optimal calibration of the wind sensor and motor systems.
Professional installation is especially critical if:

• You are mounting to a roof or soffit.
• Your home has complex siding or masonry.
• You want guaranteed peace of mind and precision.

Absolutely. However, you must avoid mortar joints. You must drill into the solid center of the brick using masonry sleeve anchors to ensure structural integrity.

The minimum required height is 7’ 6", though 9’ is optimal. This allows for the downward pitch (15-30°) needed for rain runoff while maintaining head clearance at the leading edge.

The Solera® AwnCommand system requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. It is NOT compatible with 5GHz-only bands. If you have a mesh network, ensure your 2.4GHz band is visible for initial pairing.

To pair your remote control:

1. Ensure the system has power (Charge via USB-C if needed).
2. Press the P2 button on the back of the remote (LED flashes).
3. Press P2 again.
4. Press the UP or DOWN button. The motor will “jog” to confirm pairing.

The sensor detects vibrations from wind gusts. When a safety threshold is reached, it automatically triggers a retraction to protect the frame.
Warning: Sensors are not foolproof; always retract your awning if a storm is approaching.

1. Check Power: Ensure the motor is plugged into a working 110V outlet. Check for a tripped GFCI breaker.
2. Thermal Protection: If used repeatedly, the motor will shut down for 20 minutes to cool off.
3. Obstructions: Check the cassette tracks for twigs, nests, or debris.

A beeping sensor almost always indicates low batteries (AAA or coin-cell depending on model). The auto-retract feature is disabled while it’s beeping—replace batteries immediately.

Use a soft-bristle brush and a mixture of mild soap (like Dawn) and lukewarm water.
NEVER use a pressure washer or laundry detergent, as these strip the protective fluorocarbon coating.
Note: After deep cleaning with bleach, you must re-apply 303® Fabric Guard.
